XF: Sporting Luxury
The new XF, a dramatic expression of Jaguar´s bold new design language, brought to life by a dynamic character that exceeds even the expectations created by the XF´s striking appearance: a car that is relaxed and confident, with outstanding ability and control.

Resolutely true to the Jaguar philosophy of creating Beautiful, Fast cars, the XF goes further, adding a new dimension to the marque. The four-door XF has the visual excitement of a coupe, but ample room inside for five adults to enjoy an interior wholly contemporary in style yet uniquely Jaguar in quality.
Wheels and Tyres
The XF offers a choice of 17, 18, 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels, the SV8 being the only car in its class to have 20-inch wheels as standard. Every XF wheel is cast in aluminium alloy, and every design combines maximum strength with minimum weight. Pushed visually to the extremities of the XF´s body, filling the softly sculpted arches to reflect the XF´s athletic character, every one of the XF´s wheel and tyre combinations has been engineered to have the same rolling radius, and achieve perfectly balanced ´wheel to body´  proportions.

To satisfy Thatcham security stipulations, there are 20 variations of anti-theft locking nut.  Depending on specifications, the XF is fitted with either a space saver spare wheel or the Jaguar Tyre Repair System – a compact system that can effect a temporary repair of a puncture of up to 6mm diameter on the tread area.

Headlamps - Halogen Projector
The XF´s headlamps perfectly illustrate the way in which Jaguar´s design language has moved on. The low, wide one-piece clusters wrap around the body onto the front wings, and closer inspection reveals twin round elements within their elegant shape; a subliminal reminder of the Jaguar ´quad lamp´ signature, but brought right up to date with modern technology.
 
For both safety and convenience, XF´s Intelligent Lighting System feature automatic on/off operation.  If it detects low light levels or that the windscreen wipers are operating, it automatically switches on sidelights and dipped headlights.
 
Powerful Bi-Xenon headlamps can also be specified.  They include cornering lamps which are activated by the direction indicators to give improved illumination when manoeuvring at low speed.

Rain sensing windscreen wipers
For even greater  convenience, all XF models feature rain sensors which will detect water on the windscreen and automatically switch on the wipers, at the appropriate speed.

Exterior mirrors - electric adjustment, heated
Every version of the XF features power adjustable, heated door mirrors.  To help when parking in tight spaces, or squeezing through narrow gaps, power- folding door mirrors fold inwards towards the car at the touch of a button.  Auto-dimming power-folding mirrors are standard on the Premium Luxury and SV8 models – electrochromic glass reduces glare when driving at night.

Rear parking aid
The rear parking aid uses ultrasonic sensors mounted in the bumper to detect objects up to 1.8 metres behind the vehicle. An audible warning system alerts the driver to the proximity of objects, whilst arrows on the centre console Touch-screen provide further information on their location in relation to the vehicle.

A front parking aid system with similar functionality and rear camera parking aid are also available as an option.
